Ralph Smith
Town Councilman,
PV Town Board
Candidate for Town Supervisor

Ralph Smith is a Town Councilman with the Putnam Valley Town Board and now, after three decades as a proud resident, is seeking to become Putnam Valley's Town Supervisor.

Ralph, a mainstay in our town’s school system, taught for many years in the elementary school before electing to move to the high school during its inaugural years. A staunch supporter of Putnam Valley launching our own complete school system, it is a great source of pride for Ralph to have been a part of such a significant piece of our town’s history.

Ralph has remained dedicated to the town of Putnam Valley for 34 years, continually looking for ways to serve his community – the individuals of Putnam Valley – better. In Ralph’s own words, “you just want to help your neighbors as best you can.” Ralph regards the diversity of Putnam Valley as one of our greatest assets, and it is this conviction that has moved him to seek the position of Town Supervisor, to be better able to benefit the people of Putnam Valley and provide them with a higher level of support, respect, and fiscal oversight.
